CINDERELLA
Ten years later, PSP is revisiting our debut production! History’s most enduring fairytale returns with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of originality, charm and elegance. The Prince is giving a ball - or, rather, his parents are giving a ball in the hopes of finding him a bride. All of the ladies in the kingdom are invited to attend, but Cinderella is forced to stay home by her neglectful Stepmother and obnoxious Stepsisters. When a visit from her Godmother reminds her that nothing is impossible, Cinderella’s wishes come true; her tattered dress is turned into a beautiful gown, a pumpkin becomes her golden carriage, and she finds herself face-to-face with the Prince. The spell is only temporary, however, and she must flee before her magic fades at the stroke of midnight. Little does she know, the Prince has launched a kingdom-wide search to find the mysterious girl who ran away with his heart.

CINDERELLA is a young girl who, despite a harsh upbringing, has the kindest heart in the kingdom; she grows determined to achieve her dreams of a better life. (AUDITION SONG: “A Lovely Night”)
GODMOTHER is a mysterious guardian figure with a bit of attitude, and a surprisingly no-nonsense approach to magic. (AUDITION SONG: “Impossible”)
STEPMOTHER is a shallow, cruel woman who schemes to marry off her daughters to anyone with money. (AUDITION SONG: “Stepsisters’ Lament”)
THE STEPSISTERS (named JOY & PORTIA in the Junior Cast, and GRACE & JOY in the Senior Cast) are simply obnoxious brats, direct reflections of their selfish mother. (AUDITION SONG: “Stepsisters’ Lament”)
THE HERALD (named LIONEL in the Senior Cast) is the Prince’s only friend, trying to help as much as he can while still keeping his job. (AUDITION SONG: Juniors - “Ten Minutes Ago” / Seniors - “Do I Love You”)
PRINCE CHRISTOPHER is a charming young man who wants to do right by his parents, but would rather not settle for just any girl from the village. (AUDITION SONG: Juniors - “Ten Minutes Ago” / Seniors - “Do I Love You”)
QUEEN CONSTANTINA is Christopher’s mother, lovingly overbearing in her desire to see her son married. (AUDITION SONG: “Impossible”)
KING MAXIMILLION is Christopher’s pleasant but aging father, who just wants to see his son happy, so that his wife is happy, so that he can be happy. (AUDITION SONG: Juniors - “Ten Minutes Ago” / Seniors - “Do I Love You”)
THE MICE are Cinderella’s closest friends and confidants, ultimately transformed by magic to escort her to the ball. (AUDITION SONG: “In My Own Little Corner”)
MAGIC DANCERS are the personification of Godmother’s magic, accompanying her wherever she goes and bringing her transformations to life. (AUDITION SONG: “In My Own Little Corner”)
